6th Annual Senior Games

Gainesville, Florida - October 19-22, 2006 - The Gainesville Sport Organizing Committee (GSOC) is proud to announce the return of the 6th Annual Gainesville Senior Games to Alachua County. The Senior Games is presented by The Village, and will take place from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22, 2006. The GSOC invites all athletes, 50 years old on or before Dec. 31, 2006, around the state and nation to participate in over 14 exciting sports events.

This year's Senior Games will feature archery, basketball, bowling, cycling, golf, horseshoes, pickleball, road race, swimming, table tennis, and track and field. The top five competitors in each age group for each sport will qualify for the State Senior Games in Fort Myers and earn a chance to qualify for the 2007 National Senior Games in Louisville, Kentucky. Don't miss out on the fun, friendships and the experience of the 2006 Gainesville Senior Games.
