4th Annual Pickleball Showcase has been moved to outdoor courts

At the Gainesville Sports Commission, our number one priority is to keep all of our participants and spectators as safe as possible. Due to COVID-19, the Indoor Showcase is moving outdoors this year, to Northside Park (5701 NW 34th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32653)

The tournament will continue to be in partnership with Touching Hearts at Home and the Alzheimer’s Association. $10 from your registration fee will directly be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5 – MIXED DOUBLES

General Information:

  • This event is not sanctioned
  • Games will be played on OUTDOOR courts with temporary nets and taped courts (tape will be florescent pink)
  • As of OCT 27, 2021:
    • Face masks will be required to be worn when not actively participating in a game.
    • All attendees will be responsible for their own drinks and food. No drinks or food will be provided.

Entry Regulations:

  • The division of competition for Doubles and Mixed Doubles will be determined by the following rankings and age groups
    • Rankings: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0/Open. Open is reserved for advanced players of all levels.
    • Age groups within rankings: 40 & Under, 41-60, 61 & Over.
    • The age group you will play in will be determined by the youngest player.
  • Competitors must bring their own paddles. Pickleballs will be provided for matches.
  • Each partner must register separately.

Format changes are at the discretion of the Event Director

$10 from the registration fee will be directly donated to the Alzheimers Association

This year, the GSC has partnered with Touching Hearts at Home and will donate $10 from each registration directly to the Alzheimer’s Association. All Proceeds will benefit the 2021 Gainesville Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will take place on Saturday, October 16.
