ACL Southeast state championship schedule set for 2021
ACL Southeast Open set for February in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The American Cornhole League Southeast is set for its season of championships, starting with the inaugural ACL Southeast Open in Jacksonville on Feb. 26-28 at the Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex.  This new schedule is a part of the strategic partnership between Airstream Ventures and ACL Southeast.

The Open kicks off the spring schedule that features another Southeast Conference championship, a regional event, and state championships for each represented in the league.

“We are proud to offer a number of events for our members to showcase their skills and earn ranking points this spring,” said Rob Chismark, Southeast Conference director for the ACL.  “We have some great host partners that are going to help us continue growing the events and participation.”

The ACL Southeast Open begins the schedule with more than 500 competitors coming in from across the country to compete for the titles over three days of competition.

In April, the schedule heats up with ACL Southeast Regional at the Bradford County Fairgrounds on April 9-10 in Starke, Fla.  The next weekend (April 16-18) the ACL Southeast Conference Championship comes to the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs, Fla. for three days of competition.

The four state championships begin in May:

  • Florida – Gainesville, Legacy Park Multipurpose Center (May 21-23)
  • Mississippi – Biloxi, Mississippi Coast Coliseum (May 28-30)
  • Alabama – Jacksonville, Pete Mathews Coliseum (June 4-6)
  • Georgia – Albany, Southwest Georgia Regional Fair Grounds (June 18-19)

“A special thanks to all of our destinations for supporting ACL Southeast in bringing the inaugural state championships to their venues,” said Joel Lamp, Senior Director of Tourism & Events with Airstream Ventures.  “During these times, sports tourism can provide an economic lift to the different regions – bringing a new audience to the area for the first time.”
