4TH ANNUAL PICKLEBALL SHOWCASE NOW MOVED TO OUTDOOR COURTS

GAINESVILLE, FL – October 15, 2021 – The 4th Annual Gainesville Pickleball Showcase is coming up on December 4-5, 2021!

At the Gainesville Sports Commission, our number one priority is to keep all of our participants and spectators as safe as possible. Due to COVID-19, the Indoor Showcase is moving outdoors this year, to Northside Park (5701 NW 34th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32653)

 

Registration is open and will close on November 16 at 8:00AM.

The tournament will continue to be in partnership with Touching Hearts at Home and the Alzheimer’s Association. $10 from your registration fee will directly be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

 

The Gainesville Sports Commission will be welcoming athletes of all ages and skill levels from the state of Florida and surrounding states to Alachua County to compete in the 4th Annual Gainesville Pickleball Showcase.

This year, the GSC has partnered with Touching Hearts at Home and will donate $10 from each registration directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Games will be played on outdoor courts with temporary nets and taped courts (tape will be florescent pink).

Primary ball: Dura Fast 40 Outdoor – lime green

This event is not sanctioned.

Participants will receive an event t-shirt along with the top three teams in each division receiving either a gold, silver, or bronze medal.  The price for this year’s event will be $45.00 for the first event and an additional $5.00 for a second event.

The 4th Annual Gainesville Pickleball Showcase will be a round robin style event with divisions based on the following rankings: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0/Open. The open division is available for advanced or elite players of all ages and is the most competitive. The rankings will be broken down into the following age groups: 40 & under, 41-60, and 60 & over. The age group in which you will play in is determined by the youngest team members age.

 

Registration deadline is Tuesday, November 16th at 8:00AM.
